The Autoimmune Resource and Research Centre (ARRC) (previously known as the Scleroderma Lupus Autoimmune Resource Centre) was established in 1989 to provide education and support to individuals with a range of systemic and organ-specific autoimmune syndromes. The centre, funded by donations, Sponsorships and contributions from Staff Specialist Funds, provides specialised services such as patient education through education seminars, information packs, research and individual education sessions.  The service also offers individual psychological counselling for patients and access to innovative research and novel diagnostic tools and therapies. ARRC coordinates educational and Cafe Conversation groups as well as illness specific seminars annually.  Members receive quarterly Newsletters.

ARRC operates out of office space kindly provided by Pathology North Hunter at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle NSW, AUSTRALIA.  As part of its alliance with Hunter New England Health and Pathology North Hunter, the centre is able to offer access to information regarding allied health services and the latest management, diagnostic, screening and research initiatives available.
